Overview

A Permanent Account Number is mandatory for filing returns, opening current accounts, registering under GST and entering into specified transactions. Companies, LLPs, firms, trusts and societies each need a PAN in the entity's own name issued against the incorporation or registration deed. No. Holding more than one PAN attracts a penalty of ₹10,000 under Section 272B; the extra PAN must be surrendered.

How do I correct my name on PAN?
